William Pace received a Masters of Fine Arts in Film Production from New York University's acclaimed Graduate Film & TV program and his thesis film, "Echo Canyon," won the Cinemagic National Short Film Search and was televised nationally on the USA Cable Network.

After completing NYU, William co-wrote three produced and distributed independent movies with NYU classmate Tom Rondinella. The first was BLADES, a "dead-on parody of JAWS," according to ''Entertainment Weekly." John McCarthy in his book "Splatter Movie Guide, Vol. II" (a reference you don't see cited everyday!) wrote that it "produces quite a few laughs and actually generates some tension and suspense." Pace also served as Associate Producer and 2nd Unit Director on the film.

Their second screenplay was the comedy ALL'S FAIR starring George Segal, Sally Kellerman and the unforgettable Lou Ferrigno. Well, it was supposed to be a comedy. In a classic Hollywood screenwriting horror story, Pace and Rondinella, the original screenwriters, were rewritten by no less than five other writers. Pace swears they had nothing to do with the fat female referee and the wimpy boyfriend Warren!

The third Pace/Rondinella collaboration was the "relentlessly perky" (according to 'Variety') romantic comedy "A Girl's Guide to Sex," which was, ironically, actually quite chaste. The movie was bought by the USA Cable Network where it aired extensively. Pace also served as a Producer and 2nd Unit Director.

Moving on to solo screenwriting and much darker material, William wrote and directed the psychologically intense drama CHARMING BILLY. The script was a three-time finalist for the Sundance Institute's prestigious Screenwriting Lab and premiered at the AFI Los Angeles Film Festival where VARIETY magazine proclaimed William displayed "notable cinematic and storytelling craft." Noted Broadway actor Michael Hayden won a coveted Best Actor award for his riveting portrayal of the title character. CHARMING BILLY was distributed by Wellspring Films (a division of The Weinstein Co.) and also broadcast by the Independent Film Channel.

William next teamed up with CHARMING BILLY producer Douglas Huebner to co-write the neo-noir mystery SHE DIED TWICE, which has been optioned by Splendid Pictures and producer Andreas Klien (TRAFFIC). He has also written several episodes of different internationally syndicated TV series such as "Adventurers: Masters Of Time" and "The School for Little Vampires."

William produced and directed "A Relaxing Day," a short film about a couple trying to have a relaxing time at the beach, based on a one-act play by Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Theresa Rebeck. "A Relaxing Day" has played several Film Festivals and won "Best Produced Short".

William also recently directed living legend Tony Bennett in a series of videos for the Guggenheim Museum. But, perhaps most intriguingly, he has a brief profile in noted philosophy author Warren Allen Smith's intriguing book CELEBRITIES IN HELL.

William acknowledges that Mr. Smith is a bit premature on both counts.
